The Eiffel Tower
Visit the world famous Eiffel Tower with Edventure Travel, the most visited monument in the world. This wrought-iron lattice tower was built in 1889 and named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower. Even though it was initially criticised for its design, it has become a global cultural icon of France and one of the most recognisable structures in the world. It was the first structure to reach a height of 300 metres. The tower has three levels for visitors, with restaurants on the first and second levels. The top level’s upper platform is the highest observation deck accessible to the public in the European Union.
Your school group can discover the most breath-taking Parisian views from a boat on a Seine cruise. Hop aboard a magical 1-hour cruise on the Seine in a glass canopy boat by day or night. You could even choose to have your lunch or dinner on board. Your group will be able to pick up interesting facts about the landmarks as you pass along iconic Parisian landmarks, with the help of dedicated audio headsets that you can tune in and out of at your discretion, over the course of your cruise. If you choose the illuminations cruise you will witness the Eiffel Tower glimmering in the dark.
Choclaterie - Beussent-Lachelle
Your group could enjoy a 45 minute experience and watch how chocolate is made in this artisanal chocolate factory in France and discover how it is manufactured directly from the cocoa bean. The chocolate factory of Beussent-Lachelle produces its own couverture chocolate by working the best beans, mainly coming from Ecuador where they have their own plantation, and also from Madagascar and Sao Tome. All the steps are done by the craftsmen of the chocolate factory, from the choice of the beans to their roasting until the conching.
