  1. Day 1 Colombo
    Travel to Colombo, Sri Lanka from the UK. Take a Colombo City Tour, the country’s commercial capital which produces 50% of the national GDP. Travel along the clean streets bordering the crystal white Racecourse equipped with lavish clothing, food & tea boutiques
  2. Day 2 Pinnawala
    Travel from Colombo to Pinnawala. Visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage and witness baby elephants being bottle fed or moving around freely. Watch as they feed and take a river bath. Transfer from Pinnawala to Habarana Village.
  3. Day 3 Polonnaruwa
    Visit Polonnaruwa and view this medieval capital and crown jewel of King Parakramabahu’s empire, proof of an ancient culture and heritage blended with religious beliefs. Take a safari at Minneriya National Park. This is a sanctuary with the largest elephant gathering in the world, watch carefully as, one by one, they roll on to the grass covered banks to feed on tender shoots.
  4. Day 4 Sigiriya
    Visit Sigiriya Rock Fortres. The 5th century rock citadel of King Kasyapa and World Heritage Site is one of the finest monuments of art and culture. This afternoon you will explore Dambulla Cave Temples which contain some of the most unique drawings in magnificently constructed cave temples flanking the golden temple of Dambulla. Visit the Matale Spice Gardens, an agricultural zone in the Central Province producing tea, rubber, vegetables and spices.
  5. Day 5 Kandy
    Visit Kandy markets and temple, last ruled by King Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe, before it was brought under the British rule in 1815. Kandy is a World Heritage Site and the last royal capital of Sri Lankan kings.
  6. Day 6 Nanu Oya
    Depart from Peradeniya and travel to Nanu Oya by train. Visit a Tea Factory where ’Tea’ and ’Tourism’ are words which cannot be separated. Take a tour to the cold & misty hills that take an ultimate tea tour, covering lush green blankets of tea plantations. Travel on to Araliya Green Hills.
  7. Day 7 World's End
    Horton Plains known as ‘World’s End’ is a a trekking paradise and Eco-tourism hideout in the heart of the isle. View Bakers Falls and gaze down World’s End, a 3700ft drop. You may even be lucky enough to spot the Sri Lankan Leopard! Nuwara Eliya known as ‘Little England’ with misty steep roads, twisting through lush green blankets of tea bushes in a cool climate. Hike through the green grass and red-brick walls with breathtaking views of a buzzing countryside hamlet.
  8. Day 8 Elephant Transit Home
    View the orphans at the Elephant Transit Home during feeding times. In the day they spend time in the National Park out of sight from people in preparation for their return into the wild. Transfer from Udawalawe to Tissamaharama.
  9. Day 9 Yala National Park
    Safari in Yala National Park containing vast grasslands, shrubs, basins and dunes which is rightfully in the heartland of wildlife in Sri Lanka. View herds of elephant, sloth bear, spotted deer, jackal, birdlife and the highest density of leopards in the world.
  10. Day 10 Turtle Conservation
    Visit the Sea Turtle Conservation Project in Koggala. Sitting calm along the Southern coast of Sri Lanka it now operates on a formidable scale and has become a watering hole of flipper & shell enthusiasts!
  11. Day 11 Galle Fort
    Explore Galle Fort, the epic Southern capital, is the intersection where classic Dutch architecture meets a tropical setting. Depart and travel back to the UK.
