This tour focuses on Art in The Netherlands. The tour visits Amsterdam, where you can explore the numerous canals and shop, and then travels to the province of Gelderland. There are many world-famous art galleries and museums to explore and a visit to the Van Gogh museum is highly recommended.   1. Day 1 Depart the UK
    Depart school early and travel to Noordwijk in The Netherlands. You will spend the afternoon at Boijmans Van Beuningen Museum.
  2. Day 2 Amsterdam
    Spend the full day in Amsterdam. Visit the Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art and the Van Gogh Museum. Later you can take a scenic canal cruise departing the Rokin Pier. Return to your accommodation for your evening meal.
  3. Day 3 Gelderland
    After breakfast travel to the Hoge Veluwe National Park in the province of Gelderland. Here you can explore the National Park and visit the Kröller-Müller Museum.
  4. Day 4 Travel home
    Check out of your hotel and travel to The Hague where you will visit the Mauritshuis Museum. Continue your return journey and take your ferry back to the UK.

  1. Nemo Science Centre Amsterdam
    If your group is studying science then a visit to this science museum, which has interactive exhibitions on how things work, is a must see. It is housed in a building that resembles the prow of a ship and contains five floors of hands-on science exhibitions and is the largest science centre in the Netherlands. Students can discover the concepts of DNA and chain reactions which include using giant dominoes with contraptions like a giant bell and a flying car. Your group can watch a show which features a large chain reaction circuit. Allow them to interact in a ball factory where small plastic balls are sent on a circuit where participants are to group them in weight, size, and colour and then send them to a packing facility where the balls go into a small metal box. Students can stick magnetic barcodes on the boxes and send them off to start the circuit again. Your group tour can enter a movie and performance hall where various acts and movies about science are shown or watch a display on the water cycle, electricity, metals and buildings. They can experiment in the giant science lab and test vitamin C in certain substances or look at DNA. There is also a small section on money and business. Students can learn more about the human mind and enjoy experiments such as memory tests, mind problems, and sense testers. The fourth floor is quite dark which adds to the eeriness of the surroundings.
  2. Dam Square Amsterdam
    Your group can take a five-minute walk down the Damrak from Centraal Station which takes you into this jam-packed square, jostling with locals and tourists day and night. Whatever the weather, there is always something going on for your students to enjoy. There are food stalls, restaurants and shops galore. It was created in the 13th century when a dam was built around the river Amstel to prevent the sea from flooding the city. Take your group to see the main attraction, The Royal Palace. Although no longer home to the Dutch Royal family, this grand 17th century building is still used to hold official receptions. Other places your group could visit include: Madame Tussauds Wax Museum; the New Church and Beurs van Berlage, an old stock exchange building now used for a concert hall and exhibition space.
  3. Van Gogh Museum Amsterdam
    The Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam is one of the most popular museums in the world that your group could visit, as it holds the largest collection of works by Vincent van Gogh, with more than 200 paintings, 500 drawings and 700 of his letters.  It originally opened on in 1973 but over the years has been modernised and expanded to ensure it continues to be a truly leading-edge exhibition and visitor space.
  4. Canal Cruise Amsterdam
    Whilst in Amsterdam, your group could enjoy a luxurious sightseeing canal cruise in an open boat to see the cultural highlights. The perfect day out! Taking a canal cruise through Amsterdam’s historic waterways is one of the best ways your students can explore the city. The guided boat trips offer unparalleled views of the centuries-old architecture, charming canal houses and monuments.
  5. Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art Amsterdam
    The Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam is a museum for modern art, contemporary art, and design from the early 20th century up to the 21st century, and is a must visit, if your students are studying Art. It is located close to the Van Gogh Museum, the Rijksmuseum and the Concertgebouw, at the Museum Square in the borough Amsterdam South.
  6. Rijksmuseum Amsterdam
    The Rijksmuseum is a Dutch national museum dedicated to arts and history in Amsterdam and will take your group back in time to discover the Dutch masters of the Golden Age. The museum is close to the Van Gogh Museum, the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, and the Concertgebouw, and located at the Museum Square in the borough Amsterdam South. It is also the largest art museum in the country and displays 8,000 objects of art, among which are some masterpieces by RembrandtFrans Hals, and Johannes Vermeer. Also visit Asian display in the Asian pavilion.
  7. Kröller-Müller Museum Amsterdam
    Your group can discover this museum with the second-largest collection of works by Van Gogh in the world! The Kröller-Müller Museum is a national art museum and sculpture garden, located in the Hoge Veluwe National Parkin Otterlo in the Netherlands. The museum was founded by art collector Helene Kröller-Müller and opened in 1938. It also has a large sculpture garden for your group to explore.
  8. Concertgebouw Amsterdam
    If your students are studying Music then why not take a visit to see the famous Amsterdam Philharmonics, which is also called Concertgebouw (Concert Building). It is facing the Rijksmuseum. The classicist 19th century building has today a modern annex, with more space for the reception of the audience. Concertgebouw is home to the famous The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, as well as The Dutch Philharmonic Orchestra and The Dutch Chamber Orchestra.
