  1. Day 1 Colombo
    Travel from the UK to Habarana, Sri Lanka
  2. Day 2 Habarana Village
    Visit Habarana Village, take a trek along a Bund of a Wewa (man-made reservoir) and view birdlife, butterflies and possible sightings of crocodiles. With the guidance of the farmer, pick some fresh vegetables and join in the preparation of a simple meal prepared in the traditional method using earthenware pots and burning firewood as fuel.
  3. Day 3 Minneriya National Park
    Visit Polonnaruwa, a medieval capital and crown jewel of King Parakramabahu’s empire, proof of ancient culture and heritage blended with religious beliefs. Take a safari at Minneriya National Park, this is a sanctuary with the largest elephant gathering in the world. Watch carefully as, one by one, they roll on to the grass covered banks to feed on tender shoots.
  4. Day 4 Kandy
    Visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress, the 5th century rock citadel of King Kasyapa and World Heritage Site is one of the finest monuments of art & culture. This afternoon you will explore the Dambulla Cave Temples which contain some of the most unique drawings in magnificently constructed cave temples flanking the golden temple of Dambulla. Visit the Matale Spice Gardens, an agricultural zone in the Central Province producing tea, rubber, vegetables and spices.
  5. Day 5 Colombo
    Travel from Kandy to Colombo. Take a city tour of Colombo which is the country’s commercial capital and produces 50% of the national GDP. Travel along the clean streets bordering the crystal white Race Course equipped with lavish clothing, food & tea boutiques.
  6. Day 6 Yala National Park
    Take a Safari in Yala National Park containing vast grasslands, shrubs, basins and dunes which is rightfully in the heartland of wildlife in Sri Lanka. View herds of elephant, sloth bear, spotted dear, jackal, birdlife and the highest density of leopards in the world.
  7. Day 7 Sea Turtle Conservation
    Visit the Sea Turtle Conservation Project in Koggala. Sitting calm along the Southern coast of Sri Lanka, it now operates on a formidable scale and has become a watering hole of flipper & shell enthusiasts!
  8. Day 8 Galle Fort
    Explore Galle Fort, the epic Southern capital, which is the intersection where classic Dutch architecture meets a tropical setting. Depart and travel back to the UK
